My Dad and Step Mum Sharon came over in January to help Trace and I dig a vegetable garden in our back yard.
First we had to prepare the area, and dig a 4x4 metre patch
We planted seedlings and seeds
You can see Trace putting in little shade covers to protect the seedlings from the afternoon sun
We planted lettuce, spinach, eggplant, brocolli, carrots, onions, cucumber, tomato, zucchini, beans and peas.
Sharon was in charge of the whole operation.
Great photos. Good luck with your veggie garden.

Goodness, what a HUGE garden! Good luck. (from Carol's friend in Nelson, NZ)
ReplyDeleteKiaora Meg, thanks
DeleteWhat a lovely garden and doggy you have - he looks so earnest. There's a lot of work in setting up and maintaining a vegetable garden, but the results are so delicious and healthy! I remember growing some strawberries years ago - tiny things they were - but the sweetest I had ever tasted. Long live home-grown veges!
ReplyDeleteThanks Danielle, Ive got 10 strawberry plants all producing strawberries but Ive eaten none. Someones getting to them before me and I can't work out who it is.
ReplyDeleteThis blog business is a terrible distraction, its already 11am and I haven't even started my Legal assignment.
